Training | Supervision

In order to ensure the quality of the collected data the staff and interviewers of Metron Analysis that participate in surveys are extensively trained on issues related to the scope of the project. At the same time, the work of the researchers is supervised daily by our field supervisors, ensuring immediate evaluation and the timely provision of appropriate guidance and clarifications whenever necessary.

Response rate​

An important quantitative indicator of the reliability of the collected data is the high response and participation rate of respondents in fieldwork. In addition to various methods used to increase participation in surveys (e.g., incentives), the experience of the research staff in similar studies also plays a crucial role. For this reason, the researchers who participate in Metron Analysis studies are selected based on their relevant fieldwork experience.

Qualitive controls​

During the fieldwork phase of the survey, continuous quality control checks are carried out on the collected data. These include:

  • Parallel monitoring of 30% of the telephone interviews conducted by the company’s call center.

  • Telephone back-checks on 30% of the questionnaires collected by each interviewer, as well as on-site verification when deemed necessary.

  • Logical and electronic validation of 100% of the questionnaires, using specially developed error-detection scripts to identify inconsistencies or mistakes.

Data Analysis

The data analysis process initially focuses on conducting the necessary sample representativeness checks, monitoring response rates, and identifying the need to apply post-weighting techniques. During the analysis stage, all appropriate analytical methods are used according to the nature and type of the data, including techniques such as CHAID Analysis, Cluster Analysis, Regression Analysis, Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), and Reliability Analysis.

 

Metron Analysis implements the guidelines of Data Collection Quality Control, a body set up by AGMORC to evaluate interviewer training, data collection and interview control.
